Elementary guidance counselors work with families, teachers and staff to support the students' academic goals and their needs.  We work in all the classrooms, teaching personal/ social skills, academic (study) skills an career exploration.

   During the first quarter the Kindergarten class learned about listening and following directions.  In 1st grade, we are learning about feelings identification.  We are about to begn a very important unit in 2nd grade.  We learn about personal safety with an emphasis on child abuse.  Third and Fourth grades learned about listening skills during the first quarter.  We practiced using the skills during a variety of activities.  In 5th grade, we discussed the topic of bullying.
